I photograph when I walk.

It allows me to step out of the constant flow of ideas and reactions,
and to return to a quieter form of attention.

Many of the images emerge in fog or around dawn and dusk -
situations where visibility is reduced and certainty becomes fragile.
In these moments, the world does not present itself fully.
It has to be approached.

I notice what my eyes settle on - often without knowing why.
Over time, I hope, it will make sense.
